The Cottage is a customer favorite.   Favored by wrens, it is right at home in your garden.  The Cottage features diamond shaped ventilation windows and a leaf perch.  It is easy to clean out by pulling the copper pin and raising the hinged door.  The birdhouse framework is constructed from Rocky Mountain beetle killed pine.  It is painted with a non-toxic, lead free milk paint or toymakers paint.  Drainage is provided in the bottom.

The hanging loops are treated to resist rust as is the leaf perch.  The birdhouse is treated with natural linseed oil to be water proof.  The coating should last several seasons depending on where it is located and the weather.  It can be renewed as needed.
